The healthiest food for your baby is breast milk without any doubt.  It is loaded with fatty acids, antibodies, nutrients, protein.  It not only helps the baby but it’s important for the mother as well to breast feed as it reduces the risk of breast, ovarian, cervical and endometrial cancer, and incidences of postpartum depression and diabetes.

I am sure we all know the benefits of breast feeding but we also agree that after 6 months breastfeeding needs to be supplemented with solids like fruits, vegetables and grains.

Once the baby is 6 months old it needs a lot more than just milk to grow into a healthy toddler.  Many pediatrician recommend grains like wheat, oats, ragi, sabudana (Sago) etc for the babies in forms of porridge.
