Almond milk is a great option for those who are lactose intolerant, it is dairy free. Here’s the recipe to make almond milk. If you don’t have some on hand, just skip it. Almonds milk is a rich source of vitamin D and will strengthen the bones. I have used the natural sweetness of banana instead of sugar. It is a rich source of Vitamin B6, Vitamins & Minerals. It is very helpful for digestion too.
Ingredients
- 1 cup pure pumpkin puree
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- a pinch of teaspoon cinnamon
- a pinch of cardamom powder
How to make Pumpkin Banana Shake
In order to prepare pumpkin puree, preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Meanwhile cut the pumpkin into half. Remove the stem and scoop out the seeds and fibers. You can steam the pumpkin in a pressure cooker, but the taste of roasted pumpkin is unique.
Rub the cut surface with butter and place the cut side down into the pan. Take a baking pan and add 1/2 cup of water to the pan.
Bake the pumpkin until the flesh is tender when pierced with a knife. The entire process with taking 60-75 minutes.
Allow the pumpkin halves to cool and scoop out the pumpkin flesh and puree the pumpkin in a food processor. You can refrigerate the puree in freezer.
In a blender add the pumpkin puree, banana, almond milk, and cardamom powder.
Blend until all the ingredients are well combined.
Serve the pumpkin banana shake with a pinch of cardamon powder.
