This recipe is for dry pepper chicken in Indian style. Being from a pure vegetarian family – it was very difficult for me to know how to cook chicken which my husband and guests would like.
So, like you – I asked Uncle Google and tried many recipes I came across.
This is a tried and tested Dry Pepper Chicken recipe which will surely come out well. Do give it a try and share in comments how it came out!
Ingredients:
- Boneless chicken 300 grams
- Onions 200 grams
- Dried redchilii 5-6 cut into half
- Curry leaves 10-12
- 1 egg
- Juice of one lemon
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3-4 cloves of garlic thinly cut
Method:
Make a mixture of egg, lime juice, ginger garlic paste, salt pepper and some red chili powder.
Marinate the chicken pieces in this mixture Keep in the fridge in an air tight container for at least an hour.
- Now add the cornstarch or arrowroot powder and mix well.
- Take 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and heat it
- Once hot then spread the chicken pieces all around evenly.
- Cook on high from one side flip and cook on the other side too. Continue till well cooked.
- Remove and keep aside. In the same pan again take a tablespoon of oil and add the onions along with the dry red chilies.
- Sauté until transparent and add the curry leaves and garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper and add the chicken pieces to it and toss well.
- Your yummy pepper chicken is ready!!
